Reprograming the Subconscious Mind to Accept Healthy Relationships ππ
Beautiful day lovely humans. Thanks for reading another one of my blog posts. If this is your first time here- LET ME LOVE ON YOU!!! -muahzzz π
It may sound like I’m exaggerating when I say this, but the information that I’m about to share with you has literally changed my life for the better. && I hope that it does the same for you.
I now look at dating and relationships in a more practical sense. Don’t get me wrong, πΆI’m wishing for the one I love to find me today πΆ however, after having gained some experience with men, I now look at potential suitors as applicants applying for a position. && I now look at marriage in the same sense as a business merger.
My goal is to help women unlearn any pattern or belief that is keeping them stuck, complacent, or stagnant. Whether that’s in their love life, business endeavors, or any other areas of their life. Today, I’d like to share a bit of information that you’ll be able to begin applying to your life today.
Highlights:
- The subconscious mind is said to account for roughly 90% of the total mind && drastically influences human behavior.
- Humans are born with innate survival skills such as fight, flight, and freeze. && are said to have been born with only two fears: loud noises and falling.
- Beliefs and associations are categorized in the subconscious mind as being positive, neutral, or negative.
- Past negative experiences can create subconscious patterns of distrust and fear in relationships.
- Guided mediation and affirmations, especially before sleep, can help reprogram the subconscious mind.
- The conscious mind is said to make up roughly 10% of the mind. It includes logic, reason, and willpower.
- It is possible to unlearn something that the mind has deemed as being truthful.
- A free program called ‘Aligned & Anointed‘ has been created to provide you with a boost of self-esteem.
The Mind Has TWO Parts
I posted a video here for those of you who learn better by seeing. For those of you who feel you’re able to follow along with the written word, I’d like for you to picture one large circle. We’re going to allow this to represent the mind. Now, I’d like for you to picture a smaller circle connected by a short line directly beneath it. We’re going to allow this second, much smaller circle to represent the body. && the body is the physical representation of the mind.
Everything that the body experiences, and every pattern that it repeats, is a direct reflection of what’s happening in the mind above it. I was given this model from Dr. John Kappas. && the way that it was explained to me made everything click. My hope is that it does the same for you π
The Primitive Mind
Humans are said to have been born with specific traits hard wired into us to help keep us alive. This is referred to as the primitive mind. It’s responsible for fight, flight, and freeze.
Fight is the instinct that helps us protect ourselves when something is coming directly at us. Flight is when our body chooses to run towards safety. && freezing occurs when neither running nor fighting are the safest option- like playing dead when there’s a bear on your trail.
“If you learned it, you could unlearn it!”
The Subconscious Mind
As humans begin to progress in age, they begin to associate certain stimuli as being good or bad. This shapes individual emotional responses. The subconscious mind is said to account for over 80% of the mind in general. It’s also responsible for human emotions, which are said to have a direct effect on human behavior. The subconscious mind is powerful! && it operates outside of the control of any conscious effort.
The Conscious Mind
The conscious mind is what’s responsible for human logic. This is the part of a person who consistently says, ‘this is the last time’ or ‘I’m done with smoking!’ The conscious mind is what reasons, analyzes, and has willpower. It’s said to account for roughly 12% of the human mind.
The Critical Mind
This part of the mind is said to behave as a ‘gatekeeper.’ Its function is to filter through the stimuli that the brain receives throughout the day. If the human comes in contact with something that is in direct opposition to what the subconscious mind knows to be ‘true’ (it’s associations), then it will simply be filtered out.

How Associations are Formed
As mentioned previously, as human progress in age, they begin associating meaning to their experiences. These associations are classified into three categories: negative, positive, or neutral. The odd thing is, just because the subconscious mind associates something as being ‘positive’, doesn’t necessarily mean that it’s ‘good.’ Just the same, ‘negative’ associations don’t have to mean that something is ‘bad’ for the human.
Positive means it’s known as pleasurable to the subconscious mind. Negative means that it’s unknown, or painful to the subconscious mind.
I am a person who has a negative association with dogs. Don’t get me wrong, I think dogs are cute and make wonderful companions. However, I can recall being chased by a dog on more than one occasion, and my mind has defaulted a categorization of dogs being a negative.
The same is true when it comes to relationships,
If a woman’s father left her when she was young, they may have a subconscious association that all men leave. They might flinch when their phone rings or get suspicious when he leaves the house- even though they don’t have a logical reason of why. It isn’t that these women are consciously choosing to have these traits. It’s coming from a place deep within them.
“Curious to know how I personally vet men in three months? Read this blog post here“
Does it seem like you’ve been doing ‘the work’ but something still feels off?
This could be because the subconscious mind is said to be seven times larger than the conscious mind. Basically, the conscious mind (12%), is saying ‘I am worthy of having a man who adores me.’ But the subconscious mind (88%), has a strong association with men being extremely dangerous- even though the woman desires to be in a healthy relationship.
This is why some women have been in therapy for years, doing shadow work, saying affirmations daily, yet still see ‘unworthy’ men manifesting in their life. The conscious mind may identify as being ‘a goddess’, but the subconscious mind has associated men with being dangerous. This creates a conflicting inner struggle. && most of the time, it’s the subconscious mind that wins.
You CAN unlearn what you’ve previously learned
Here’s what really stood out to me the most. If a belief is learned, it can also be unlearned and replaced with a belief that better aligns with who a person is ‘becoming.’
Guided meditations are wonderful because ideas are able to travel past the conscious mind, past the critical mind, and plant themselves directly into the subconscious mind. This is something that repetitive affirmations aren’t able to accomplish directly on their own.
I’ve been there, I know this can work
I’ve lived through this myself. I was abandoned by my birth father. I’ve been physically harmed by a man, harassed by men, violated, sexually assaulted, mistreated, you name it. People would totally understand if I decided to stay away from men altogether. But doing the work on a subconscious level is what has allowed me to ‘pluck’ those associations out of my mind. (pluck is only used figuratively, what we’re actually doing is creating new neural pathways for electrical pulses to travel along)
The best time to reach your subconscious mind
I’ve been taught that the closer your affirmations and guided mediations are to the moment you fall asleep, the better they’ll be able to reach your subconscious mind. The subconscious mind is said to be in full control when the body is asleep. This is when it does it’s healing, filtering, processing, and several other things.
I’d recommend you saying your affirmations an hour before bed, and again when you rise in the AM. It could also prove to be useful to recite them a few times throughout the day. I’ve mentioned leveraging guided meditations, but I do want to make you aware that listening to them while lying in bed is a good way to fall asleep. This leads me to something that’s a bit controversial. I was taught, that the subconscious mind doesn’t receive information when the human body is asleep. However, I personally believe that it does!
Conclusion
I really do hope that you now have a better comprehension of why it has been so difficult for you to trust men- even after you’ve ‘done the work.’ It may seem as if you’ve been doing something wrong, when in reality, you may not have known how to truly reach your subconscious mind effectively. But now, you do! Therefore, you should think like you know!
